CSC has recently introduced Kitchen Gardening to its skills enhancement project activities. A two-day long training on Kitchen Gardening for Food Security was organized with a group of women in Thekriwala village, Sheikhupura. The purpose of the training was to promote organic food produce through kitchen garden approach where a variety of vegetables and fruits are grown around the house for household use. The participants learned the basic techniques of kitchen gardening so that they are enabled to provide food for their domestic use as well as earn income.
