Ms. Sajida Parveen comes from a low-income household where her husband works as a daily wage laborer. To support her family, she started selling clothing sourced from Dera Ghazi Khan within her community. While her products were well received, limited capital prevented her from expanding.

Her journey changed when she received an Interest-Free Loan (IFL) from CEIP. She invested in additional stock, expanded her product range, and began sourcing garments from Multan, increasing both sales and profits.

As her business grew, she established a small clothing shop in her home. Today, three to four women from disadvantaged families sell her garments on a commission basis, earning an income while supporting their own households.

What began as a small effort to supplement her family’s income has grown into a thriving home-based business that has improved her family’s financial stability while creating livelihood opportunities for other women in the community.

“The interest-free loan gave me more than capital—it gave me confidence. Today, my business supports my family, and knowing that other women are also earning because of it fills me with pride. I am sincerely grateful to CEIP and PPAF for believing in women like me.”

With the support of CEIP and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Ms. Sajida Parveen has transformed determination into opportunity, building a sustainable business that empowers both her family and other women in her community.
